Q: What age group is your comic appropriate for?
A: We’d rate “Overlord Academy” at about a PG-13. There’s some swearing (including the occasional f-bomb), skimpy clothing/implied nudity, on-screen violence, as well as overt references to sexual activity between minors. If any of this sounds inappropriate, we respectfully recommend you try another comic.
Q: How long is “Overlord Academy” going to be? Do you have an ending planned?
A: It’s going to be very, very long. However, we do have an ending planned (and have since before the comic began). We know where we’re going, but it will take us quite some time to get there, and for now, we’re just enjoying the ride.
Q: Why is the comic in black and white? Are you going to switch to color?
A: The choice to do the comic art in black and white is a mainly a stylistic one, and as of right now, we have no plans to switch to color. However, we'll continue to produce plenty of full color bonus material.
Q: Why do you only update once a week? Are you ever going to start updating more often?
A: We would love to update more often. However, we are both in our last year of university and not only do we not have the time to move to a bi-weekly update schedule right now, we're also just not sure what our post-university life is going to be like. Ideally, we'll be able to move to a Tuesday-Thursday update schedule in the near future, but we won't make any promises. Q: How do you pronounce Thae's name?
A: "TAY." Her full name, Thaelia, is pronounced like the name Thalia with a hard "A": "TAY-lee-uh."
Q: How do you pronounce "A-san?"
A: The "A" at the beginning is simple the letter "A" and thus a hard sound. The "a" in "san" is soft.
Q: Are any characters other than Nova, Thae, and A-san based on real life people?
A: A couple. Darku-san began as an avatar, but pretty quickly grew away from her inspiration and as Kevin grew in importance as a character, so did his resemblance to a certain friend of ours… but understand us when we say that person can never know!
Q: How does the real life Arthur feel about all of this?
A: Bemused. Delighted. Afraid. To make up for the fact that we made him the main character without his consent, we’ve told him pretty much every major plot point… and he’s pretty much forgotten them all.
