Ramblings
NOVA SAYS: One day, I would love to do a comic that portrays the South as the varied and complex world of historically rooted culture and warring political ideologies that I know it is. That day is not today. And despite the vast differences of experience I know exist, especially in Southern religious culture, Arthur's fundamentalist upbringing is based quite strongly on my own. It comes across more comedic in the context of "Overlord Academy" than it does in, say, "Jesus Camp," but aside from the speaking in tongues bit, that's a pretty good representation.
